What is Confidence?

Confidence is key (literally) and if this key had a name - it would be inscribed with yours, followed by "trust in me."

A WONDERFUL JOURNEY AWAITS YOU…

If you feel like confidence is a scary thing, for whatever reason, that’s understandable (it used to scare me too). However, you might not truly know this important component of its real definition and that is okay. In fact - that's quite exciting because a wonderful journey awaits you...

Confidence is self-trust. It's like having the only existing key that opens a door to you being 100% authentically and unapologetically you. That is something very special.

There are no set rules about your keys other than you must remember that they are unique - like you. You deserve the special moments they will bring.

LIBERATING AND MAGICAL MOMENTS

In my experience there have been times where I've allowed people (like my fairy confidence mother, Ursula) to help me on this self-confidence/trust journey:

1. I was reminded that I have my own key.
2. Helped to locate it.
3. Used it, in fun and creative ways, to unlock and reveal parts of me that have felt liberating and created magical moments.

These shared moments have been in safe places like Ldn Dares sessions, where this trust is acknowledged, nurtured, respected, and protected.

LEARN TO CHALLENGE YOURSELF

Of course, like most things in life, the journey to self-confidence is not a continual linear story of rainbows and butterflies (although when I think back to parts of my journey – I did have many butterflies...in my stomach. Going berserk!!) There are elements of fear and worry of failure but one of the remarkable things about Ldn Dares is you learn to challenge yourself. Grow. Confidence is also about being afraid of something but trusting yourself enough to give it a go anyway! For me, in these moments of uncertainty, self-doubt or hesitation – I was supported. I allowed myself to be vulnerable so I could step out into doing things I wanted to but had always been uncomfortable or not confident enough to do. Sounds scary but this practice, in a safe space that Ldn Dares provides, is transformational.

I wonder what exciting things your key will help you discover and achieve...
